MacArthur High Band Earns High State Ratings
MacArthur High School band earned a first division rating in concert and second division in sight reading at the State Instrumental Music Contest in Stillwater. It marks the fourth state meet appearance, with three first division concert ratings across four years. Individual ratings included Liz Millender, Jana Jones, Marsha Millender, Pam Thomas, duet and quartet performances, and ensembles in brass woodwind percussion and tympany sections.

Lawn Sighters to Hear Air Force Band Outdoor Concert
The Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants will perform Friday at 8:15 p.m. outside McMahon Auditorium, piped through the sound system for those without tickets. Lawton Publishing Co. sponsors the event after ticket demand exceeded indoor seating and Magnavox equipment was arranged to extend the sound.
