Holdenville AP report details city clerk Leonard Berryman accused of embezzling 7737 dollars from the city. He testified he knew of no shortages and told the mayor to convene a council audit. Funds cited include his salary, VA disability payments, tax business, cattle income, and $200 from a city hall soda machine.
Inoculation for rabies will be given at the fire station from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The clinic is sponsored by local authorities and will serve residents of Chattanooga.
The FDA declared Nerf Balls flammable after further tests showed violation of the 1969 Toy Safety Act. Parker Bros. halted production and reformulated the balls to reduce flammability. Approximately 4 million old-formula balls were sold last year while discussions with Parker Bros. continue.
