Wisconsin voters go to the polls to decide daylight saving time with a plan to advance clocks one hour on April 28. Backers from the Milwaukee Association of Commerce push fast time for health, recreation, and family life while farm groups oppose. A committee of farm theater and town groups distributes leaflets urging a no vote, arguing fast time disrupts polio season rest and would burden players like the Milwaukee Braves with twilight games.
