Col S R Burch of the First Regiment K N G arrived this morning. J A Hyden of the Kansas City Globe was in town. Judge Steele transacted business in Baldwin. Dennis Kennedy of Tacoma Washington, formerly of this city, is visiting here. Edward Russell went to Topeka.

A prior Union Pacific survey suggested a Denver to Salt Lake air line, aiming for a shorter, lower grade route.
