Red Cross and Fire Dept Plan Free Smoke Alarm Drive in North Lawrence
The American Red Cross and Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical will install free smoke alarms and provide safety tips during Fire Prevention Week in North Lawrence on October 12. Volunteers will visit homes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help residents create escape plans and explain fire safety, with more information at SoundTheAlarm.org or by contacting Kyle Lewis at 785-447-0116.
