Serbian adviser draws ire of KU prof
KU Slavic languages assistant professor Bill March questioned Svetozar Stojanovic’s role as adviser to former Yugoslav president Dobrica Cosic. Stojanovic, a visiting KU professor, said he served as chief adviser while Milosevic held the real power. He resigned after Cosic was ousted. March called the arrangement a moral outrage and potential war crimes concern.

Lawrence teens charged in Jayhawk Cafe robbery
Prosecutors filed seven counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of attempted aggravated robbery against Robert T. Martin 18 and a juvenile complaint naming Kareem A. Austin 16 for the Tuesday armed robbery at Jayhawk Cafe 1340 Ohio. The bar was entered at 1 16 a.m if money from the cash register and about 100 dollars from three patrons were taken. Martin’s preliminary hearing is set for Oct 25 in Douglas County District Court with a 25000 bond. Austin may be charged as an adult and is held in a Reno County juvenile facility.
