Girl 8 Involved As Car Strikes Bike At School Crossing
An eight year old girl Kathy Gilles was struck while crossing Iowa Street on her bicycle near Harvard Road at 12 12 pm Tuesday. Sally DeGarmo of Stouffer Place was driving the car and was cited for failure to yield right of way and for not having a driver's license on her person. A crossing guard was on duty at the intersection and the girl returned to school the same afternoon.
