Oprah Winfrey has renewed The Oprah Winfrey Show through the 2001-2002 season, extending her contract two years beyond its current term. King World and her production company released the statement, noting the show drives about 40 percent of King World's revenue. The program debuted nationally in 1986 and recently reclaimed the daytime leadership after a dip.
