Light the Night Walk honors cancer patients and supporters
Hundreds of illuminated balloons lit Mass Street blue gold and red during the eighth annual Light the Night Walk to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Local physician Dr Rod Barnes, battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia, thanked donors and recalled his patient journey. Domenico Idoni traveled 18 hours from Bat gratefulto timore to attend and praised Barnes as a guardian angel. The event began at Watson Park with food games and Team Barnes shirts, as patients like Cathy Rosebaugh voiced pride in the support.
