Douglas County cuts ambulance price and saves twenty thousand
Douglas County commissioners approve paying 117,824 for a Baldwin ambulance, 20 thousand less than the initial bid. They trimmed features and will dispatch from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical. Also, Central National Bank wins county checking contract. Building permit fees in unincorporated Douglas County rise next year from 614 for a 100,000 home to 785 in 2004 and 994 in 2005.
