KANU car fire damages 1979 Volare vehicle
A fire damaged a 1979 Plymouth Volare at KU KANU, one of two official vehicles behind Marvin Hall. An animal built a nest on the manifold, and the engine area burned while EU staffers contained the blaze with extinguishers before firefighters arrived. The Volare had been in use since 1984 for equipment runs and transmitter visits.
