Residents resurface Seventh Street in Lawrence downtown
Workmen began slurry sealing Seventh Street between Massachusetts and New Hampshire this morning and expect it open to traffic this afternoon. The four hour process will be the only downtown slurry treatment this fall. KU alumni events drew over 1 000 participants last week, with leaders Bilotta Wintermore Hutchison among attendees at pregame functions in Palo Alto before the KU Stanford game. The City Commission meets Tuesday at 2 p.m. in City Hall. A Mike Daniels Fund was set up at Bank of Perry to aid the Kansas University Medical Center patient’s extensive care, started by Perry High School football team and local supporters.

Docking keeps stance against motor tax hike in 1968 session

League Finance Drive Opens With Coffee Event in Lawrence

One in Hospital Seven Are Hurt In Area Mishaps
A 32 year old Lawrence man was hospitalized after a two car collision about 20 miles south of Lawrence Sunday morning. Elizabeth Stankard and Rex Slankard were involved. seven of their family treated for minor injuries. Additional accidents near 8th and Ark Streets, 6th and Miss Streets, and 13th and Tenn Streets caused injuries and vehicle damage. Authorities investigated and listed several minor injuries with modest damage totals.
