Washington AP reports 50 000 Minnesota turkeys slaughtered for Thanksgiving are being tested for residues of an industrial chemical linked to a summer chicken contamination. The birds were impounded over six weeks at Swift Dairy and Poultry in Detroit Lakes, a Swift & Company unit. Dr Kenneth M McEnroe noted the turkeys came from six or seven flocks raised by Peterson Bidding of Wadena Minnesota. No contamination source is identified.
