Investigation Ordered into Financing of Book Republicanism in 1920
Washington Sept 28 A senate campaign investigating committee ordered a complete probe of the financing of the book Republicanism in 1920 published by Albany N Y Journal William Barnes Jr head of the company was directed to produce the subscription list though he said the venture was a private transaction He agreed to telegraph for the data and hoped it could be furnished by Saturday The committee agreed to investigate the subscription lists saying the publication was Republican propaganda Barnes said funds did not go to the Republican National Committee He could not state the total subscriptions nor say he had seen the list of subscribers Subscriptions were obtained by Mr Young a solicitor who kept 50 to 55 percent of the total collected Barnes denied conferences with Hays of the Republican factional committee but said Young may have talked with Hays

Second University Convocation Set For Tomorrow Morning
The university will hold the second all-University convocation of the year at 10 30 tomorrow morning. The chancellor's office announced the event to acquaint new students with the university's organizations and traditions and to foster school spirit. Members from the Men's Student Council the Women's Student Government Association the YMC A and YW C A cabinets will sit on the platform with short speeches by each organization's heads.
