McCain backs Moran in Kansas Senate race endorsement
Senator John McCain endorsed Rep. Jerry Moran in the Kansas Senate contest, citing fiscal restraint and opposition to earmarks. Moran, vying with Rep. Todd Tiahrt for the seat being vacated by Sam Brownback in 2010, argues for responsible spending and prioritizing district projects like Air National Guard needs. Tiahrt counters Moran’s stance as inconsistent while noting Moran’s past earmarks and rankings by spending watchdogs.
