KU probes security breach of student records at KU
KU spokeswoman Bretz said an investigation is underway into how personal data leaked. About 400 names with student IDs and 14 Social Security numbers plus birth dates, health info, transcripts, and other documents were found. Victims include Vanessa Cunningham and EU staffer Pamala Shadoin. The university urges action under FERPA and FTC guidance while Journal World, Star and Kansan reported and preserve materials in secured storage.
