Lawrence banks merge to form locally owned unit
Great American Bank of Lawrence owned by Doug Compton will purchase University National Bank led by Todd Sutherland in a deal that consolidates the two longtime locally owned institutions. Both banks are Lawrence headquarters in a market where others have been absorbed by regional banks over the past decade.
