County okays consulting contract for development program

Nutrition grant aids expectant mothers and children

Kansas Band Day to feature 105 high schools at KU
Band Day will bring 105 high schools from Kansas Missouri and Nebraska to Lawrence on Saturday. A 9 a.m. parade through downtown precedes a halftime show at the KU Kentucky football game with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium led by the 260 member Jayhawk Marching Band. The marching display forms a large K with visiting bands around it. This annual event began in 1939 and has rarely skipped years since, except during World War II.

Two Men Arrested After Marijuana Seizure Near Lecompton
