Four year old Mark C. Johnson, son of Rev. and Mrs. David G. Johnson, died from head injuries suffered when struck by a westbound car near Crescent and Strong in Lawrence. The driver Merl Dean Rexford, KU freshman, 19, said he did not see the boy until impact. The accident occurred about 8 a.m. today, after witnesses said the child ran into the street from behind a parked car.
