Rain gardens reduce runoff at Douglas County fairgrounds
Two rain gardens at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds aim to limit stormwater runoff and aid water purification. Designed by the Extension Office master gardener course and funded by a $5,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, the gardens feature day lilies, butterfly milkweed, and irises.

County plans disaster response for massive tornado
