The Chamber of Commerce housing committee was directed by the Board of Directors to meet with the City Commission to settle the $1200 back rent claimed for occupancy of the old Y. A. B. Holmes chaired the committee and will report next meeting. J. W. Murrays and Rev. T. H. Astman were appointed to fill unexpired terms. A committee was named to propose a successor for the late Ralph Harman. Walter Varnum reported on State P. T. A. convention and federal employees meetings in Lawrence this fall. The board voted to assist the American War Mothers convention October 29 to 31 and Paul Dinsmoor Wayne Mc Coy were named to draft resolutions praising W. W. Curfman and Ralph Harman.

Fear Second Uprising at Kansas State Reformatory
