Sewer plant project faces dirt need and traffic impact
Construction of the county sewer plant may begin this fall with thousands of cubic yards of fill dirt. Engineers haven’t decided if dirt will come from off site or moved within the 500 acre site. City leaders outline road restrictions for heavy trucks and pledge road improvements to North 1100 and East 1600 to support the project. The project, the city’s largest, aims for completion in 2011 to meet growth, funded by sewer rates from customers.
