SLT East Leg on Track for Fall 2016 Completion
The South Lawrence Trafficway east leg remains on schedule for fall 2016, says Kim Qualls of the Kansas Department of Transportation. Much mainline paving is done but shoulder and ramp paving remain, with the K-10 interchange at the east end still needing substantial work while the west end near Iowa Street is simpler. Traffic on K-10 from East 1650 Road to East 1900 Road has been narrowed to one lane in each direction since May to allow east interchange construction. Noise walls are noted along the north side of this highway segment.
