City commissioners will consider a request to install a crosswalk with a pedestrian activated beacon near llth and Delaware streets.
Brendan Lynch urged the city to install a pedestrian light at a busy intersection used by children walking to Hobbs Park and New York Elementary. The Traffic Safety Commission recommends against it citing an existing crosswalk with a pedestrian beacon nearby. City commissioners discussed the request last month and delayed action for more neighborhood feedback.
