Pendleton Barn Burns Near Lawrence In Fire
A barn on Wilt Pendleton farm four miles south of Lawrence was destroyed early today with about twenty five tons of hay. Oscar Hurley, awakened by the glow at about 2 30 o'clock, said the barn and its contents burned quickly while a nearby garage car was saved. Cause of the blaze is not known.

Col. Ericsson Dies In Wyoming Car Crash
Col Herman C Ericsson 57 of 1635 Massachusetts St died after a Chevrolet coupe overturned near Tulsa Wyoming while en route to Kemmerer. Passenger Hobson of Jackson was seriously injured and hospitalized. Ericsson previously practiced law in Jackson and had homesteaded in the Jackson Hole area. He served in the Spanish American War and World War I, later joining the Officers Reserve Corps to reach lieutenant colonel. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at Rumsey parlors with military honors.

Congressman Guyer and Chancellor E. H. Lindsey. Also noted were memorial readings, campfire talks, and the annual address. Separately, One Knight was arraigned on first degree murder charges and jailed without bond pending a preliminary hearing next Monday. investigators continued probes into his activities across state lines. Knight maintains innocence as county officials pursue evidence in Kansas and Oklahoma. August Karlson and his daughter testified to partial identification. Fred Reetz could not identify Knight in a separate incident.

Commissioner J L Constant says the tank’s reliability was demonstrated by using the small pump to sustain tank supply while maintaining pressure during the outage.
