Abe Wolfson of 637 Massachusetts street Lawrence Kansas bought a Chevrolet touring car for 605 dollars to give away by lottery to store visitors. County Attorney Baldwin Mitchell advised the plan violates Kansas lottery laws. Wolfson then decided to donate the car to charity and sell it at auction with proceeds split between Japanese Relief and Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
