27th Haskell Indian Art Market weekend in Lawrence
The Haskell Indian Nations University campus hosts the 27th annual Haskell Indian Art Market this weekend with native artists selling jewelry pottery drawings baskets beadwork and more. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. admissions and parking are free. pets not allowed except service animals. Entertainment at noon 2 and 4 p.m. each day. The event also features Native American food vendors and student booths. The university also hosts a fall Welcome Back powwow on Saturday at Haskell Stadium with Gourd Dance at 3 p.m. and Grand Entry at 6 p.m.. powwow is free and open to the public.
