Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck on K-10 East of Lawrence
A 74 year old Leawood man was killed on Saturday morning after a vehicle struck him while he walked in the eastbound lane of K-10 east of Lawrence near County Route 1057. The driver remained at the scene as investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol probed the fatality. Traffic narrowed to one lane during the scene inquiry and all lanes reopened by about 9 30 a.m.
