Kansas Inc Ends Membership With Kansas Chamber
Kansas Inc. will not renew its dues with the Kansas Chamber, citing cost cutting and concerns about the chamber's political positions. The split comes as the chamber campaigns against a 1-cent sales tax increase and the 8.2 billion 10 year transportation plan, while Kansas Inc. seeks independence from political activity. The move follows years of collaboration between the groups and reflects wider debate over tax policy and economic development in Kansas.
