The United States is building its strongest security shield to protect Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev during a 13 day coast to coast tour. Up to 15 000 police guards and security agents will cover the route from Andrews Air Force Base through six cities and protect 110 accompanying Soviets and journalists.

Deaths and funerals for Melvin W. (Cotton) Goff and Ernest (Dusty) Robinson
Funeral services for 62 year old Melvin W. Goff will be held Friday at 10 a m in Rumsey Funeral Home Chapel with World War I veteran veterans and their wives trees a section and burial at Oak Hill Cemetery with American Legion graveside rites. Goff, longtime Lawrence resident and car salesman, died Tuesday morning and served as commander of the Jayhawk Barracks. Funeral services for 63 year old Ernest Dusty Robinson will be held Friday at 2 p m at Bowser Lee Chapel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Robinson, a lifelong Lawrence resident, died Tuesday night at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. his home was 751 Grant Street.
