Royal bloomers added to Britain's Dress Collection at Kensington Palace
A pair of 56 inch waist bloomers once worn by Queen Victoria, with matching chemise and VR embroidery, dating to the 1890s, have joined the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection at Kensington Palace after a $993 purchase this summer. The 12,000-item archive also holds Diana’s 1981 honeymoon tweed suit and a George III silk waistcoat. Queen Victoria reigned 1837 to 1901, passing at 1819 to 1901.
