Armed robbery targets Lawrence man in broad daylight
Police seek two suspects after they robbed a 42 year old Lawrence man at gunpoint in the 1300 block of New Jersey around 10 am Monday. About 2750 dollars in cash including seven 100s and 102 twenties were taken along with a mobile phone and keys later returned by a bystander. One suspect may be from Lenexa. Vehicle observed was a two tone gray Mercury Cougar from 1978 or 1979.

Lawrence school board members Harriet Shaffer and Mary Loveland will host two Saturday meetings at the Service Center 3705 Clinton Pkwy to gather public suggestions on naming a new junior high southwest of Clinton Parkway Inverness Road and to rename existing junior highs.
