Treads and Threads fund raiser at Kansas Speedway

KU Med plans its second annual Treads and Threads fundraiser Friday at the infield of the Kansas Speedway to benefit the Cancer Center. Last year the event raised 300000 dollars. The gala starts at 6 p.m. with a preparty for sponsors and patrons, general admission at 7 30 p.m. Food and drink come from more than 20 Kansas City area restaurants. Entertainment features Temptations Review led by Dennis Edwards and the Bill Pollack Orchestra. Tickets are 150 dollars with sponsorships from 3500 to 25000 dollars.
