Theophilus Tawiah cited coordination gaps with defense officials and said the mission aims to separate rebel and government forces, marking a first major foothold outside Monrovia since Aug. 4. In Afghanistan, five Taliban fugitives including a junior commander were captured in Zabul after clashes that killed dozens.
