Taste of Lawrence draws 1700 for chamber mixer

Caretaker charged in drug case in Missouri
Cedric D. James 26 of Kansas City was arrested on a December 1999 warrant for possessing marijuana with intent to distribute. He allegedly drove two disabled men from a Merriam group home to Swope Park in Kansas City where they were left in a sweltering car and died from heat related causes as temperatures hit 106 degrees.
