Budget committee OKs bill to cut Kansas House size
The Legislative Budget Committee backed a constitutional amendment to reduce the Kansas House to 80 members from 125 and create a mandatory court review of reapportionment. The measure, endorsed for 1974 introduction, keeps the Senate at 40 and would place the issue on the 1974 ballot if two thirds approve.
