Vinland Woman Injured in Kansas Car Wreck
Mrs Y D Love a Vinland woman and her two year old child were bruised and cut when a car went off the road south of Princeton Kansas Wednesday night. Returning to Vinland from Cedarvale they were in a vehicle with Mr Love and two other children when it ran off the roadway and overturned at the bank foot. The other members were uninjured and Mrs Love and the child were treated at Ottawa hospital before returning to Vinland.

Plans for a large community gathering were formed in Tonganoxie for a September 20 Five Town picnic to celebrate the opening of a paved road linking Kansas City and Topeka. Governors Hyde and Davis and other officials are invited. A 40 by 80 tent, $2,000 entertainment budget, fireworks, baseball games, parachute stunts, multiple bands, rides, free dancing, and a Red Cross first aid tent are planned. About twenty five acres along the fort highway have been secured for the grounds with free parking for visitors.
