Baldwin City weighs rebate plan for new housing
Baldwin City Administrator Glenn Rodden told council the neighborhood revitalization plan could rebate 100 percent of property tax value for five years on new residential, industrial and commercial construction and on substantial improvements. The plan awaits school board and Douglas County Commission approval, with formal consent likely after Sept. 13. Rodden cited seven housing starts this year and said district and county approvals should spur more activity.
