Lula Mae Kirk, 74, died after her car rolled toward her house as she held an infant great grandson in Wichita. The child was unharmed. The car apparently rolled from gear or park, pinning her between the door and frame and sending her to Wesley Medical Center where she died.

In Kansas City Missouri an 11 year old girl named Kelsey Rowe died Saturday after her leg became trapped in a pool drain at Sherwood Bible Church. Lifeguards and firefighters freed her after 25 minutes but were unable to save her. They had been performing resuscitation efforts as they worked to remove her leg from the four inch drain.
