Geraldine A. Kelley obituary highlights naval veteran and community volunteer
Geraldine Ann Williams Kelley known as Gerry was born in Denver on January 1 1931. She served in the United States Navy until May 1955 where she met her husband James W Kelley whom she married on March 5 1955 in Reno Nevada. They settled in Paola Kansas in 1967 raising a family and she engaged in church life library work hospital auxiliary and charity activities. Survived by four children and six grandchildren she enjoyed travel scuba diving reading and bridge. Funeral September 6 2012 at First Presbyterian Church Paola with visitation September 5 2012 at Penwell Gabel Paola Chapel. Burial in Paola Cemetery. Memorials to Friends of the Library Paola First Presbyterian Church and Hospice Care of Kansas.

Lawrence man John Ross 72 dies at home in Kansas
John Ross 72 of Lawrence Kansas died August 31 2012 at home. He was born August 20 1940 in Sacramento California and grew up in Missouri and Kansas. A KU graduate with Far Eastern Studies and a DoD civil servant with assignments in Germany Japan and Vietnam he retired in 1993.
