Young Santo Domingo artist wins praise at Red Earth show
David Nieto, Santo Domingo Pueblo, known for hand crafted jewelry and sculpture, places at Oklahoma’s Red Earth Art Competition. He learned from his father Don Nieto who learned from his mother in New Mexico. David’s “White Buffalo” sculpture won first in 2001 youth division and he demonstrates jewelry making in class.

The 16th annual Lawrence Indian Arts Show begins with a benefit reception Friday at the Lawrence Arts Center. Admission is $35 by reservation, including awards, previews, sale, and a silent auction, with the exhibition running through Oct 9.

Recent Work Exhibit at KU Highlights NU-Lincoln Ceramics
An upcoming show at Kansas University's Art and Design Gallery features 10 MFA candidates from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
