$250000 to fix sound in Kansas Capitol court room
The old Supreme Courtroom in the Kansas Capitol is ornate but acoustically poor. House Speaker Mike O’Neal announced a plan to spend about $250,000 on sound improvements, including wall plaster treatments, funded by the Capitol Restoration Project. Additional $37,500 will equip three rooms with cameras for live Internet streaming, aiming to be ready for the 2011 legislative session.
