Orient Shops at Wichita to Lay Off Ninety Seven Men

Tom Simmons aged 16 of Overbrook died at McConnell hospital from head injuries suffered when the Dodge car he rode in overturned after striking a bridge near Worden last night. Driver Herbert Murphy escaped injury. Simmons was taken to hospital by N T Naac from Overbrook after witnesses said the car traveled at high speed and rolled over several times. The body was later prepared for burial in Baldwin.

Rochester Arrest Brings Gus Nichols to Minnesota
Sheriff Hauck of Olmstead county captured a man in Rochester identified as Gus Nichols, sought in Minneapolis for the October 38 robbery of $125,600 in unset diamonds from E.H. Porter of Chicago.
