Meteorologist S D Flora said a low pressure system from eastern Colorado caused the mild spell and sunshine should bring highs of 65 to 80 with lows in the 40s overnight across eastern and western Kansas.
Maj Gen Ralph Truman said the 35th division of National Guardsmen from Missouri Kansas and Nebraska would likely miss the November 25 mobilization date for Camp Robinson Arkansas. He estimated the camp would not be ready until December 20 and perhaps January 1, noting the War Department has not changed the mobilization date but prefers full facilities before calling men to camp.
George Lipton 18 charged with disorderly conduct after an egg hit the automobile carrying Wendell L. Willkie in Huntington W Va on Oct 30. Lipton released on $500 bond as authorities processed the case.

Dr O P Dellinger veteran faculty member at the State Teachers college in Pittsburg Kansas was named acting head to fill the vacancy created by the death of Dr W A Brandenburg who led the college for 27 years. Funeral services for Dr Brandenburg were set for 2:30 pm tomorrow in Science hall with the body lying in state tomorrow morning.
