Soviet launches police campaign against rowdyism in Russia
Moscow reports a sweeping police push to curb drunken disorder and violence as authorities cite rising rowdyism. Kharkov shootings, Leningrad assaults, and increased penalties accompany measures including armed police, harsher punishments, and efforts to curb 40 percent vodka sales. The drive aims to protect citizens and workers, with youths urged to oppose alcohol temptations and support policing efforts.
