A dynamite blast on Logs Street in Winfield Kansas shattered the front of the former home of County Attorney Charles H Quier at about 2 AM injuring no one inside the house occupants Mrs June Nicely and her daughter Maxine and Mrs Ezra Rathbun were awakened but uninjured. Authorities suspect the act was aimed at Quier who led bootlegging prosecutions. Fire marshal ordered to investigate.
