Lawrence High talent show features diverse acts this week
Lawrence High School hosts its eighth annual Talent Show from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday in the LHS auditorium at 1901 Louisiana. Proceeds support student supplies for low income families and a seniors scholarship for alcohol and drug prevention work. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match up to 200 dollars. Organizers say the event broadens performance opportunities beyond choir and band with acts like juggling and unicycle riding. Local prevention specialist Diane Ash notes many students are musically talented outside mainstream groups.
