Ex-student given probation in KU sexual assault case
A Douglas County judge sentenced former Kansas University student Andrew Hansen to three years probation for aggravated battery after he admitted touching a 18 year old woman in her vaginal area at the Delta Chi house on August 21. Hansen, 19, had pleaded guilty in June and served 105 days in jail. He will not have to register as a sex offender and is barred from alcohol or drug use during probation. The victim’s family seeks closure as both sides move forward.
