Rainy weekend likely to clear by Halloween
National Weather Service in Topeka forecasts rain and wintry mix today into Sunday with clearing by Halloween as frigid temperatures arrive. Lawrence area saw nearly 3 inches of rain this week and another round is expected to begin this afternoon, meteorologist Jennifer Prieto said. Weather data suggest slower rain progression, delaying heavier showers until after 1 or 2 p.m. in time for the KU game.
