Schools show little progress on economic ethnic gaps
Kansas public schools made virtually no progress in narrowing achievement gaps between economic classes and ethnic subgroups based on the latest statewide reading and math tests. Among high school students, those from upper income families were more than three times as likely to reach grade level on state math exams and nearly two and a half times more likely to perform well in English language arts.
